IPP. I have been notified that because of the campaign with 38 Degrees an IPP prisoner has been released.

Just want to thank you so much for your campaign.... A friend of mine was released only 3 days ago from a prison in England - he was on IPP for 4 years. He was refused parole 3 wks ago stating that they [the parole board] thought he would abscond to Ireland...  He was extradited from Ireland to england years ago - and the Irish High Court Judge said that he was not to be punished under the IPP system - that he was only to serve out the remaining 6 mths sentence...  anyway as a result of your on line campaign we got the transcript from the courts and alas he was released without any parole / licience ....  Thank you so much
