But such sentences are not reserved for violent crimes – thousands are serving IPP sentences for crimes such as affray, or group fighting .The 99 year sentence is wrong and needs to be looked as a matter of urgently. Liz Truss can learn from the families 27.OO flus sent letters some through 38 degrees in September expressing their despair, not one person got a reply….katherine Gleesonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05085291495683268093noreply@blogger.comBlogger1125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8293011889770348192.post-51884004290453479972016-09-30T16:04:51.690+01:002016-09-30T16:04:51.690+01:00Posted in by Ryan

I have done my letter to Liz Truss and to the local MP and I will be following it up with the local MP if I don't get a response by visiting the MPs surgery where you can meet face to face. The prison situation as well the indeterminate release of prisoners is diabolical and it is about time the government really took notice. Looking at the Prison Officers Association (POA) website there is unrest amongst them with the prison situation and I think that if we could also get the POA on board the campaign as a united front to support each others causes then maybe the government might finally take notice. Let's face it the POA have taken strike action before. I cannot abide the pathetic excuses that are made by the government over IPP and Liz Truss should be held personally a ccountable next time she hears of another IPP stastic prisoner committing suicide and I hope she reads this.
You are doing a brilliant job with your determination of the campaign and the more I involve myself in it the more anger I feel of the injustice and I will keep you updated of feedback from the local MP because I will certainly be on their case.
Kind regards
Ryan
katherine Gleesonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05085291495683268093noreply@blogger.com
